Default Question For 300EX owners

Does the 300EX have engine braking. Like when you let off the gas going downhill does the motor start holding you back or do they just sort of free wheel and you have to use the brakes all the time.

Default Question For 300EX owners

All vehicles with a manually selectable transmission will allow the rider/driver to use 'compression' (engine) braking...

Each gear only allows for a specific top speed, which is dependant on engine & transmission configuration.

Default Question For 300EX owners

I know if you use a lower gear you will go slower, I found a 300EX for cheap and I was thinking about getting it for an extra bike for freinds to ride. I have a Warrior now and I know when you let off the gas on that thing even in 6th gear the engine really starts to slow you down and you don't have to use the brakes as much. I really like it this way and wanted to know if the 300 was the same way before I wen't to look at it. I know I used to have a Mojave and the engine braking was no good.
