carb problem

Default carb problem

Here lately me ex has been leakin gas out of the overflow tube pretty bad.I took it off and cleaned it up real goo with carb cleaner and that helped a little.Then i put in a new needle valve and that also helped but it still leaks.What should i do next?buy a new carb?I usually get about a week out of a tank of gas but now only about 2-3hrs.Isnt it craze this crap happens when im tryin to sell it?

check your floats. also check that little pointed rectangular shaped thing that is attached to the float. If that isnt in there or in wrong then that can cause the problem you are having.

He said he already replaced it.... Anyway USUALLY the needle valve is what causes this problem to happen. Like havinnoj said check the floats and make sure it works properly.

the floats are in great shape and do no have any holes in the.I was told by a reliable freind that there was something you could bend up to adjust it.anyone know what hes talking about?I might just take it to him and let him fix it cause its pi$$ing me off.

Hes not asking you to check the condition of them. Hes asking you to check the set float height for the floats. Which is what your "reliable friend" is telling you to do as well. If you have the floats set wrong(adjusted by bending the tab that is secured to the float valve) it will cause you to get overflow from the carb.
