Default oil level too high

Hi Guys, just wondering....if you have too much oil added in your engine, what damage will occur? Is a little extra oil okay? Or do you have to keep it extactly on the fill line mark on the dipstick?

I understand this may seem like a dumb question, but I'm curious of what mechanical damage might happen. Any input appreciated.

A little too much is OK, Way too much and you stand a chance of blowwing out a gasket due to too high oil pressure.

that and oil is a low octane that will increase the chance of detonation. not something to really worry about. this also cant be too great for the oil rings.

like stated above a little too much is ok, but being the judge of that isnt always a good thing to do. i say keep it in the ok range, its too easy to correct the amount by draining an atv's oil into a clean container and replacing it with a funel with the correct amount. better safe than sorry, but it sounds like you might be alright as is.
