I know this is prob. a dumb question, but my dealer couldn't tell me. Are the rear tires uni-directional? I've worn the edge down on the stock side and was wondering if it would affect how the quad handled if I switched the rear tires.

'99 400ex K & N filter and jet kit, splitfire plug, AC mudscreen bumper, nerfs and skidplate, nacs headlight covers.

It would depend on the particular tire..some are uni & some are not. For example, Bandits are very directional, altho some have reversed them for sand. You can usually tell from a photo of any you are interested in.

I'm not sure what you mean by them being worn down on the "stock side", but I'm assuming you mean the outside edges. If so, I would guess it's due to the tire rolling over during hard cornering...the sidewall on the stock tires are pretty weak if you ask me. Anyhow, although the stock Ohtsu's have a marking that indicates which side should face outwards and which should face inwards (for mounting purposes), they're not directional--so yes, you can swap them without any problems.
