Default HRC kit problems!!!

i don't want to spend the money on the HRC kit yet. I also don't have the money for a new exhaust. does ne body know where i can buy just the end cap for the silencer that comes with the HRC kit? i figure i'll get a high flow air filter, a 185 main jet, install the new end cap, and get rid of the airbox lid. this should add power without costing more than $100.

The dealer installed mine, so I am not sure, but I don't think there is any end cap in the kit. You just remove the restrictor that is in there, and you are ready to go. I think????

It has been a few days but there was 2 end caps on e-bay. Maybe you can find one there.

you don't need to buy an endcap. Just take out the 3 bolts from the cap on the exhaust. Then take out the baffle. Freer flowing, and it's free!

The spark arrestor screen is down deep inside, so you are still spark arrested with the restrictor removed.

My suggestion would be to wait until you can afford the kit, for the airbox lid if nothing else. This thing is incredible! It is wide open in the back, but somehow it is positioned so that it doesn't suck dirty air. I am still on the original air filter, and that is after a couple of long days in the desert. You know that is saying a lot! And, I rode in a downpour and the box stayed dry. Honda got this box right!

i've seen pics of all the stuff in the kit, it is definately a dif. endcap, i think it has a bigger opening too. as far as the airbox is concerned, it has one big section that is raised, they simply cut that out. i was under the impression that the baffling is connected to the end cap. thanx for the info, i'll check out that site, and ebay.
