The verdict is in on the problem I was having with my machine. As i had surmized the speed sensor failed. Which made the brain box send out a failure to communicate message to the transmission. When this happens your machine will let you continue to operate but at a controlled speed no more than about ten miles per hour. The dealer I bought my machine from was great, they took another speedsensor off another new rubicon they had in stock and got me back on the road on the same day i took mine in.You cant beat that kind of service. So a little word of advise to fellow Rubicon owners, there was water in several of my connectors including the speedsensor connector, and i had washed off my machine the night before. So what i am saying here is try not to direct any spray of anyforce towards your electrical connectors,it seems the water can get in but not out on some of them.Your speed sensor is located on the right hand side you will have to remove the seat, and the cover for your pullstarter to access it.There are three connectors in a row attached to your frame the speedsensor is the black connector the one closest to your right leg when you are mounted on your seat. Thanks for the suggestions, those that responded as for me to take it to the shop, lol,i guess most would have right off the get go,but my dealer is a couple hours away. And I am way too maticulous and mechanical not to try something first. But anyways all is good now,if this incident helps anyone out there then this forum is doing what its intended to do. Happy riding.
