Yesterday Me and my friend were riding our usual trail , my friend has a 86suzuki230quadsport, versus my 200sx with the cheng shin mud tires on the back, he cant hang with me when it comes to mud. More than once I have had to pull him out of a sticky situation. Anyway, we met a older man riding a 450 Foreman S , Warn Winch , Rack extenders, spotlight, and full brush guards, I have to say with what we were riding it made us think. We followed him to a very large mudhole on his trail, not real deep just VERY slippery, Even the 4x4 foreman had problems getting traction, my friend would not even attempt to try, the man told me to back up and get some momentum when I hit the mud so I did. I hit it in high 3rd gear and I did not get far. I was in the middle of this huge mudhole with no easy way out and the cheng shin tires were just spinning, I rocked and swayed and Finally they caught something, They were spinning like crazy but I was moving, inch by inch, after about 20 min I was out, my friend just stood there and staired, The man on the foreman said "I cant Believe it, i thought i was going to have to use the winch to get myself out,". I think the 200sx properly equipped can hang with the 4x4's,,,, Some times...But I still smoked the foreman on my CR125...He said i gotta get me one of those!!! Any feedback or stories of adventures on your 200sx will be greatfully appreciated.....
Ride hard......

Well I have Kenda Scorpion tires..probably only good for dirt. Usually my ATV is bad in mud(it usually gets stuck) Theirs this mud trail near my house and one day I decided to go in it...I started and what do you know, It's going through there fine, a little spinning but it's making it trough, I went about 20 ft and I came back out.

The next day I went back there and theirs these other ATV tire marks(probably someone that rides there also) like 4x4 marks...thses marks looked like the ATV was spinning with all 4 wheels....Now what I don't understand is why didn't that guy with 4wd make it as far as I did??
Then I figured out my ATV was probably alot lighter than his so mine just sat on top of the mud instead of sinking to the bottom like he was.

hanging with a foreman.......well most of the time

remember its horses for courses, the if the rider can make the bike work under those situations, to the best of his ability.....maybe

remember the 200sx isn't a 4x4 vehicle.....better tires could help, but its only a little bike.....traction is good but too much can slow you down

stories.....i remeber a deep water/mud whole on one of my trail rides.....lined it up......hit it flat out and glide straight across.....passing a boged wolverine (we sent him in to see how deep it was!...he was a victim basically....he would have gone through with more momentum).....and passed a warrior who was hooked up on the lip on the other side, and a big tree root....

that bike was an eye opener!......i raced a flat track against a lakota once on a club day.....i had to cut a few corners to catch him.....the 200sx could match the lakota on the flats, but as the track was rolling hill......i couldn't really make any ground (lack of torque)

What is the weight of an SX anyone know??

It must not be too heavy because I can pick up the back end and put it on a stand to work on it everytime the chain comes loose.
