ncdncd,

I do work alot. Wife, two kids, and a new kitchen on the way make the money flow pretty fast in this house.

Got to get your priorities straight - you can't ride a kitchen!

No, but I am trying to be fare. I live on 6 acres with my barn, next to a lake to ride forever(wife never wanted), I have a decent size tractor(wife never wanted), I have a car for work(wife never wanted), a Toyota Tacoma in the garage for playing(wife never wanted), plus her car(which is the nicest and newest), Bought my first quad when she was pregnant with the first one, second one a few days before the second boys birthday(she said OK to shut me up). I have enough toys, it's her turn. Plus I can't stand the green, orange, tan, brown carpeting anymore. Reminds me of the Brady Bunch era. Wood paneling walls gotta go, fast.
But when it is done, hello HMF.
Actually, I saw a picture somewhere on the net where a guy parked his Polaris 700 in his dining room. Now he has a understanding wife.

By the way - check out my picture at the link below when I was doing some motorcycle mods back in the winter.

Jokerguy,

First, you and I spend way to much time on this site.
Second, You def. have an understanding wife.
Third, how do you like that Santa Fe? How does it pull your trailer? I keep waiting to see the next design from Hyundia.

First - you are right.
Second - she is.
Third - the Santa Fe is hers and she loves it. It is a good value in an SUV for the price. Has 10 yr, 100,000 mile warranty on drive train too.

It pulls the 2 ATVs just fine - I would like to have more power to pull them but it really does a good job. We drove to Hatfield McCoy trails last weekend which was about 4-1/2 hours - but only 210 miles as the last 90 miles is up and down mountains on 2 lane roads and I was never holding up traffic - always someone holding us up, If I were buying somethong now I would get something more powerful now that I have the ATVs but am satisfied with it just fine.

What your saying definitely makes sense about getting a bigger bike, I think Im going with the mods. Now all I need to do is decide between HMF slip-on or Ecosytem. Thanks for the advice.
If you're at all concerned about noise, you need to most likely get the Ecosystem. I'm sure the regular HMF makes great power, but they are infamous for being very loud. I read a review of the Ecosystem somewhere and it said that it had awesome gains for a pipe that quiet. From what I hear, the Rancher AT is a pretty corked-up machine. Open her up on both ends (intake and exhaust) and just about anything would make a pretty decent difference. Jetting never hurts, even though you might have to play around with it since there are no suggestions from HMF.

RedGoblin,

That's what im afriad of, the hmf slip-on is going to be to loud for me. And the ecosystem has not had that much feedback from anyone yet also no dyno charts yet. For $289. I would like to see what kind of hp gains people are getting.

hey guys. i got an 04 rancher at and want a little more power but don't have the cash. i was thinkin bout a jet kit and k&n filter. is this the best way 2 get more power or should i save 4 a pipe? if i do get a jet kit do i need a pipe anyways cuz of the airflow?and does anyone know how 2 get more top end speed? i ride with my body and he's got a 450r and it a pain 2 keep up on the road. i know i can't keep up with him but more speed would help. well happy riding all.
