IMO i would go with a 400ex. a 400ex would better suit you and you could grow into it more. plus there are a whole bunch of mods for it. theres also a lot for the 300 too. the 400ex has more power and can also generate a lot more just by adding a couple of modifications to it. i still havent ridden a 400ex yet but i really want to. if i had the money i would go for a 400ex. if your looking for a NEW 300ex then youve got the dough for it. Instead of doing that you could use that money for a 2001-2003 400ex thats used and use the rest for some mods on it later down the road.

 

Great point, reconman, i to would go with a 400ex, the 300ex would be a great step up from your trailboss, but you will soon want someting better than your 300. The 300 is like half a step up from your boss, so go with a 400 and grow into it, in a year or so, or maybe less, depends on your learning skill, you will have a lot better time on a 400ex. But if you just cant get a 400ex right now, then go with the 300ex.
