They are a great bike, there is a reason they are on ATV actions list of top 20 atv's of the past 20 years. They are awsome, great power for crusing, great wheelie machine, they are kind of rough and can be hard on bearings if you push them too much but they will last for years and will keep you happy out on the trail for years too.

Great bike, but if you don't need the racks get the 250EX. It is much the same bike but without the racks, so it is 50 lbs. lighter! Lighter never hurts.

yeah a recon is a great bike if u like wheelies, dirt wheels mag rated it in the 10 for the best wheelie quads around and i also have a recon. there sproty to begin with but with a few mods you will have the fastest quad in its class

My buddy got one for his wife. She goes just about anywhere on it. It's fun little thing to ride, I have a blast on it. Would be nice to give it a little more pep though

Thanks for the reviews. I have hesard alot of good stuff about the recon. I really like the price. My current honda 125 is 19 years old. Amazing they can last that long and not smoke, and runs well but need to clean carb. My local dealer is selling the 2004 recon for $2699 out the door financed or cash- is this a good deal? Where do I go to get modification for this machine?
