We just got back from vacation to Colorado. With the 2000 425 Xpedition (4 gallon tank) we were running about 80 miles on a tank. We put almost 300 miles on it in the week we were there. Made it to the top of Mt.Antero, Mt. White, and Mt. Princeton. Also rode though Tin cup pass, Hancock pass, Tomichi pass , Comberland pass, and Schofield pass. A lot of beautiful scenery there. Have fun.

I usually get around 65 miles per tank, with out reserve.

My mileage depends on the driving. If it is dirt roads, trails or the like I can get up to 110 miles to the tank (running about 6 lbs of air in the tires). However, if it is mudding, riding up creeks, climbing hills etc, mileage obviously declines.

Do yourself a favor and strap on a 2 gallon gas can.

Look at a spare gas can as insurance. Whether its a short or long ride, I always carry extra gas.
