If you buy let us know how it goes....Im sure you'll love it :-)
If you just make sure your jetting is fine and using a decent oil and premix ratio your top end will last a long long long long time
My 86 R is only been rebuilt on the top end ONCE. I had the jug off not too long ago and it still looks very healthy and runs without
any problems at all.
You shouldnt be feathering the clutch a lot...in my experience it isnt any different than a four stroke. The only reason you'd worry about
clutching is MX racing when you need to stay or quickly get right back into your power curve. The only other time beside that you might need
to tame the clutch is on take off obviously since it's a true stroke. My R also has the CR250R head gasket which does add compression..but being
a two stroke and running that amount of compression it will still be easy to kick over and fire up.

well, I have a std. bore cylinder with weisco piston, 39mm keihen carb, boysen reeds, cool head with custom dome, drag port, and I am running a 175 main jet for the sand (sea level) without airbox cover, I ran the same thing when i went to the mountains and i smoked quite a bit, it wouldn't clean out.. I bogged it down a LOT going through tight trails, and still.. I Never once fowled a plug. I luv this bike besides the fact it tore my arms to peices!
