i have a 250x and when ever i shift in third gear and floor the gas it feels as if you are grabing the clutch and poping it over and over again (like it slip out of gear) but if you drive it slowly and smoothly up to speed its fine

any ideas?

 

Try replacing the clutch. That would be cheaper and easier than opening the cases.
