Default Honda 650R coming soon

The thread is old but so is what honda has been dishing out as quads the last few years. Hopefully they will release a 650r for the big boys to play with in the dunes. It has got to be embarassing for honda to be on the side lines in the dunes and then have the yfz hand its 450r it **** by the general buying public.

Do you ever shut-up?

You and your redundant diatribe are annoying.

.. y'know-- I really used to want a Honda, bad. But I didn't get around to it, and then somewhere along the line they got lost. The YFZ450 outta the box kicks the 450R in the ****. I'm sorry to say it- but the brass has lost it's bite up there..

Have you ridden both? Is the YFZ that much faster in the real world? I have a sneaking suspicion that it is extra fast in the magazines.

Every time I see a report on a TT race there is a 450R in the winner's circle. Are Farr and Willet that much better than everyone else at TT? TT is more about engine than GNC or GNCC, Is there that much potential in the TRX? Why is the CRF more popular with the 2 wheel crowd than the YZF? They say the 05 CRF is wilder than the YZF in the engine department. Once again, is there some yet untapped potential trapped in the TRX?

I remeber in the 80's when Suzuki owners and us Kawasaki owners would laugh at the 250R's weak engine. But look who laughed last.

I have been around both and I wanted to buy the YFZ cuz of the E-start but I know too many folks with YFZ problems and I just don't fit on the YFZ. My friends who have 450R's have had zero problems.

I have always gotten my money's worth from a Honda. My mechanics have always gotten their money's worth when I've owned a Yamaha. You can't go wrong with either quad, I'll be the first to admit that.

The Honda's not the best, it's just the best for me.

I've ridden both stock, and ridden both with pipe/filter and jetted up. In both instances the YFZ won drag's, and just felt like it had more of a hit and just overall more power and torque.

The YFZ now has a dyna and the cam mod, while the 450r is still piped and filter with the jet kit and the Yfz just keeps getting faster. The 450r is definetly more comfortable, but the yfz has a better handle on suspension and just overall.
