I am in the process of replacing the front wheel bearings and seals on a 1999 Honda 450. Rather than purchasing the replacement parts through a dealer, I may be able to obtain alternative sourcing through a local industrial supplier. I know NTN manufactures the bearings, but am unsure of the seal manufacturer. It appears to read ARS on the old seal. Can anyone confirm the name of the seal manufacturer?

You can get the outer seal at any bearing suplier but the inner is dealer only if you live in Canada. The part # for the outer seal if you are using a CR (chicago rawhide) seal is 14719
which is only a couple of bucks. The inner which you will have to get at the dealer is a different story. The bearing # is deo681 NTN. Also when changing the bearings use lots of grease, I don't
feel they put in enough right from the factory,
which is probably why your changing them out now.
