Disc Brakes for Honda Utilities
#1
Somebody has finally came out with aftermarket disc brakes for honda utilities and what a sweet upgrade.
But wow there high priced but most aftermarket upgrades usually are, lmao $300 and $500 for exhaust pipes.
I didn't pay that much for a complete Flowmaster exhaust system for my LT1 ....Oh well they know if you want it bad enough you will shuck out the dow..

Thanks for the info but the disc brakes have been out for a longggggggggg time and yes they are priced high.
I don't like that you'd have to buy Highlifter pads to go on the Highlifter disc brakes. They can price them as high as they want because of no competition. What would happen if they stopped making the brakes or went out of business? No more pads? It would be different if the pads were the exact same size as those on another quad. Then you could use them on the Foreman. (or whatever)

I seriously doubt Wilwood Engineering will be going out of business anytime soon they been making high performance brake systems for cars and have quite a reputation. But i guess anything is possible in business.
Im not having problems with my brakes getting hot from riding,I ride in alot of mud and water and I have noticed one of my front brakes sweat and sweat=condinsation=rust=brake failure and thats why I thought disc would be good upgrade.Disc are not sealed and have no place for moister to collect and cause damage.Plus disc don't wear out as fast as drum brakes, disc have less moving parts as well.Anyhow thanks for responding to my topic.........

I always thought drum brakes lasted longer than disc. (At least on my cars they do.) I would like to have disc brakes on my Foreman. (Easier to change) I just refuse to pay hundreds extra for disc brakes. I could have just purchased a Kodiak for an extra few hundred which includes brakes. My next atv purchase will include disc brakes. So, I guess it probably will not be a Honda. (Vinson, Kodiak, or something)
