250R Master Cylinder

Like I said before, you can get them from Honda. I know that if you look up the part numbers that are listed on the 'R' microfish you will be told you cannot get them but I just bought one a couple of months ago. I don't really know what my dealer has cross referenced over to but I do know they can get them.

bpace fortunately for you, I think you were lucky. I printed the page off MacDizzy's site that HAS THE ENTIRE MICROFICHE directory for the rear brakes and when I called Service Honda(who IS THE Honda shop in my book) with the part # 43500-HB9-771(complete master cylinder assembly for 88-89) they said it WAS DISCONTINUED. No offence to you intended at all but if your Honda dealer can get it, Service Honda should be able to also. I think you may have purchased one of the last ones. I really wish that Honda would give us FARE WARNINGS when they are about to pull our RUGS out from under us.

If this is true and we 250r riders can not have acess to these brake components . Maybe we should see if some of the CR motocross bike parts might be able to work.It would at least be something to look into.I am surely not going to quit riding Honda 250RS just to ride some over weight four stroke.

Like I said before Jeff, the 250R microfiche number is useless. The part number my dealer gets it under is not what is on the microfiche. As far as this Service Honda I don't know them nor do I have any desire to use them. All I know is I can get in touch with a guy at the local shop and in a matter of a couple of days I can have a brand new one in my hand. If you don't believe me, fine, so be it. If anybody else here wants a brand new one let me know and I can get it to them.

i just ordered 2 new still in the package rear brake master cylinders from cal atv for 100 a piece and recieved them on friday. the part number on the microfiche is for the whole rear master cylinder unit with resivoir and all the hoses but does not give a number for the master cylinder only.so maybe some shops know how to order the individual master cylinder itself which probablly has its own seperate part number not listed in the microfiche

I just wanted to HUMBLY apologise to bpace in front of any readers. I was NOT trying to argue or pretend to be a know-it-all, I simply thought that he may have had one of the last ones(since I WAS told they were discontinued). I WILL call Baldwin Motorsports on Tuesday and hopefully I can also get my hands on a NEW master cylinder myself. Sorry neighbor!

Don't sweat it Jeff, I didn't take it that way. I just want people to realize that even though Honda shops act like they may know everything, typically that is far from the truth. As far as I know, you can still purchase all major components for the 250R from Honda even though it may take a little investigative work on someones part for some of the parts.
