Rancher or Rubicon?
#2
Very large area to cover for your question. Depends on what Rancher your talking about (ES or manual shift). I'll take it your looking at the Rancher ES. We have both and i personally like the Rubicon better. However the Rancher is much more agile in the woods and lighter. Both have the same turning radias, but the Rubicon has more suspension travel, better puller etc. etc. To be honest like TXDOC always says, depends on what your needs are. Both are great machines in their own right and you won't go wrong with either. If you have the dough though, I would go with the Rubicon. But the Rancher is a great bike to. Good luck,

Easy answer do you want a mid-size quad then go with the Rancher, if you need/want a big bore quad go with the Rubicon.
Its hard to compare the two. Cost wise the Rubicon lists for$6999 vs $5399 for the Rancher.
The Rubicon has more power 499cc vs 329cc.
The choice is which one fits you & your wallet the best!
Both are good choices.

Yo,
One of my friends has a 00'Rancher (manual) 2x4 and loves it. It rides like a cadallaic. The Rubicon is also a good quad. The new Hondamatic is the best there is. It all depends on what you need it for and how much you want to pay.

if ya just have the need for the extra power or just want to say you have the newest thing going, then get the Rubicon. You'll have a tough time gettin one unless your already on the list and/or already paid for the thing.
I saw/rode with a Rubicon on a poker run last saturday. He just picked it up that morning. It was not much larger than my rancher. I was not at all impressed with the looks of it. It looked like a Foreman with a shifter on the gas tank. I was most impressed with the sound...the dang thing was super QUIET!!!!!! My rancher made more noise!!! We didn't race because we never had the chance. I'm sure i would have lost but I had so much fun it wouldn't have mattered.
Ride them both, if ya can. then make your own decision. If ya want a nimble, quick, woods/trail quad then the Rancher will probably be the better choice....If ya want power speed and the newest thing the the Rubicon will fit the bill nicely.
happy trails, and good luck
