Rancher carb swap w/ 300ex

Hey....not sure about the fit.....but I do have a questions for you....what jetting did you do? And what's your altitude? Just curious what you came up with.....thanks!

Havent done it yet. But I have and extra 300ex carb sitting around, if im not mistaken the carbs are both 32mm, my altitude is 800 about sea. as far as jetting im going to start with stock sizes unless someone tells me different.

Yeah, my altitude is pretty close to that, but every time I put on my pipe and filter, it runs like crap. I have a bunch of different jets, but haven't tried messing with them yet. I'm still waiting for somebody to let me know what they are using after dyno runs. Don't want to mess up my motor, ya know?

Actually with your bike alls you have to do is change the slow/pilot jet to a 45 if im not mistaken, this will even out the mixture, the jet kit will give you alittle more power when jetted write. but I think with the 300ex carb it will give it more spunk being a slide carb w/ an accelerator pump.

Ture, true....that's what I thought too. Still runs crappy at high rpm. Also noticed the pipe gets the plastic fender super hot, since there is no heat shield. I wish there was a manual that had info on bike model/cc/yr, altitude, and aftermarkent parts for correct jetting. Probably would answer 50% of the questions asked on this forum. lol
