Thinking about 426cc piston
i am running at 11:1 ross 426. i am running a thin cosmetic head gasket and no base gasket. i have hondabond sealant on the base though. this will raise the compression a bit and give a better flame travel accross the piston. i also had my piston coated for better heat dissipation. also, i have the light pin that holds the piston in place. it definatly weighs less than a normal pin ross gives with their pistons. i am running a sparks x-6 exhaust. i had this thermally coated also. i am running a TC mx grind cam, heavy duty timing chain, FCR 40mm carb, GT Thunder rev box (increases rev limit and also advances timing 6 degrees). i also have a sparks clutch, uni air filter, modded air box lid (only use it sometimes). i currently run stock gearing. that is what i found to be best for my style of riding.
the 400ex does not have a plated cylinder. the Z's and KFX's do though.

Thinking about 426cc piston
I have a Ross 11:1 426ex and have had nothing but GREAT results!!! Also have the GT Thunder Rev Box, open Air Box, porting, Aftermarket Valve springs,Hot Cam Stage II. I debated over the 440 kit, but after having mine now since Jan. I feel I made the right decision.
