Honda 250R Aftermarket Frames

Well, I haven't used any of those frames. But I do have an ARENS frame which is very similar to those. The aftermarket frames are much stiffer, so they will transfer a lot more of the stress to the shocks. Basically, stock frames flex a lot more which weakens them. With the aftermarket frames, you can usually get more wheel travel out of the suspension because of modified shock locations. Now, most cross country racers use zero preload type shocks with very tall tires. That way the bike sags down a lot but doesn't lose ground clearance because it uses taller tires. I would say that any frame would work well for your application. However, I would recommend the Laeger Pro Trax or Roll because they use different suspension setups which is nice. BUT, you can't count out the value of an ARENS chassis. They work awesome! I have an ARENS/CT340 mount in my garage and it is sweet!

Alot of the Pros ride Roll Designs, but not all. Bill Ballance runs Lonestar, Barry Hawk ran Laegers. I have seen what a Roll will do, and it was quite impressive. If I had the money to go out and buy one, it would probably be a Lobo or a Laegers, just my opinion. I think either way, you can't go wrong. I have noticed that alot of the mX riders use Laeger, and the XC riders do use Roll alot. Personal choice.
