Rubicon Down Shifting Problems
I have an 03 Rubi and doesnt down shift when entering a hill at a slow speed or in a corner at slow speed. If I stop it seems to down shift when I take off. But it seems to have less power. Does any body have an idea what it could be?

Rubicon Down Shifting Problems
I found out what the problem was. The clutch is toasted !! I never beat or abused it, only had 864 miles on it!! I bought a HONDA for the durability and dependability and I got JUNK!!! Hopefully Honda will go good on their Goodwill Warrenty. I' ll never buy Honda product again. Maybe Yamaha or Artic Cat ? Any comments? Let em fly !!!

my cat was a 2003 500 manual and i broke 4 axels 1 then 2.
then the front diff blew the last time i road it and one axel thats when i traded it for the honda.
and all the front end bushings wore out 3 balljoints and 1 a arm.
all fixed under warrenty.
i had 2500 plus miles on it.
and they said that they wernt going to fix it anymore because i had over 2800 dollers worth of warrenty work done to it and that was it no more free repares.
so i traded it because i couldent take another chance that it wouldent brake again.
theres a few pics of it on my page check them out.
i realy liked the cat but this was the arctic cat lemon of all lemons.
i have a freind that got his 500 cat around the same time i got mine and he has over 4000 miles on it without a problem other then tires and brakes.
so go figure.

i use d1 mostly unless im on a trail then manual or d1 depending on how tough it is.
and i use d2 when i want to take it easy. it seems quieter in d2 then in d1 but thats because d1 is performance, and d2 is for easy going, and it shifts at a lower rpm then in d1,where you dont need the higher revs.
