Hey, if anybody out there is going to buy a 4-wheeler go buy a Honda Recon, it's in my opinion the best atv on the marked for 250cc. It's lom-reving, no chain, and lots of power. I'll go anywhere and do anything with it. Actually I just went down the river yesterday with it and got her up over the front racks, but she kept on a going. It will never stop for anything, well, only when someone wants to admire it! :-)

Later,

Do you have a snorkle of any type? I know that I have had water in my airbox from deep crossings before

Was this before or after you removed the air box lid?

yes, snorkleing is very easy to do, but just remember to kepp her floored going in the deep water; or you'll know what happens.

I'd like to see those pics too. A while back I put borrowed pair of 27" tri-claws on my Rancher. I was really impressed with what I could go through. Up till then I was trying to budget a way to get a 4x4. Now I think what I'm going to do is just buy a pair of wheels and tires for it. I'd like to see one day what a pair of major mud tires would to for the recon. I know I can't go too big becuase of the 250cc but the recon has such a great granny gear I bet it would turn a 25-26" tire like the tri-claw or mid bug. Does anyone have any mud tire experience with the recon to tell about.
