I sure would like to know that as well. That's the only thing I wish Honda would put on their machines. Otherwise I'm completely happy.

Did anyone happen to notice a clicking sound when you apply the front brakes on the Rubicon? It souunds like a switch. At first I thought it was for a brake lights but no such luck.

The click sound on the righthand lever is the switch for the start in gear feature. That lets you know you pulled the lever far enough.

On the 300, it came from the factory with mounting holes for a brake light kit. But, the 500 does not have the same setup and the microfiche does not show it as an option. They may come out with a kit or the kit for the 300 may be able to be altered to work. Hope that helps.

I am not sure about the Rubicon but there are kits from Honda for the Foreman and Rancher.

Tempest, can you tell me where to find brake light kits for the Foreman? I checked Honda web site and couldn't find anything on parts at all! Thanks, JIM

If I can install a brake light on my 400EX then you should have no trouble installing one on your Rubicon. Buy one standard brake light switch (less than $10.00) and simply use a tie strap to hold the switch when you depress your rear brake pedal. Then simply wire it up.
