i know on Olds in glamis i have spanked ever 450R i have raced with my wifes piped jetted Raptor.

 

Hop on a 450R and race a raptor and you will know what I am talking about. Obviously as we all know, I could be on a 400ex and smoke a 450R. Who is on the bike makes the biggest difference in the world.

 

ive been out to glamis on a stock 400ex with a pipe, and have prob beat half the craptors ive raced up the hill...gotta get through the whoops first before you can get to the top first[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] i can only imagine what im gonna do this year on the 450r.

by the way... i raced in 4 out of 7 gnctts this summer...(tt racing is 80% horse power)if raptors are sooo fast how come i only saw one the whole summer and he got lapped in the open b class. i raced a very,VERY stock 450r, had a best finish of 3rd in arkansas, and finished 9th overall in the 4 stroke A class. i NEVER got beat by a machine that was even close to being as stock as mine...of any make.

here are the mods as tt raced:HRC kit, rossier pipe, open air box, 190 jet, lowering strut in the back, stock 400ex shocks in the front,quad tech nose piece, wheels and a swaybar.

here is what was stock:a arms, axle, rear shock, piston, carb, handle bars, parking brake, front fenders(warnings and all), air filter(screen removed)etc.etc....i even left the owners manual and stock tool kit in the original locations.

could i have accomplished this with a comparable machine? maybe
would i have wanted to? Maddog56, I can see from your pics you ride on the groomed trails.... I am heading over next weekend to Central Oregon to ride the groomed trails. What tires work best on a packed snow/groomed trails. For now I am going to run my ITP Sand stars? Let me know....

 

Actually those pix are from the pits at the ice races. Those are studded cheng shins.

realetors work well in the snow, as do spider tracks.

 

I don't think I have ever seen those tires in Dirt wheels, where can I find the realetors and the spider tracks? Thx
