from what i have heard, the only thing that beats the trx450 is the yfz450.

Good exhaust and cam w/ aftermarket filter and you will be well on your way to beating most raptors with bolt ons.

Well I beat this guy on his 450R, first he burn me, then I hit 3rd an I was gone. He had the same mods as me and also a cam.

a raptor with a good pipe a filter with jet kit will beat a stock 450r, and give a piped 450r a run for it's money, depending on the pipe the 450r has (assuming that jetting is perfect on both bikes). an LRD full system with their power up kit will add like 16 hp to a rappy (this is peak hp) the same set up on a 450r will add 7 hp (also peak hp). this puts the 2 quads jus about dead even in hp, according to LRD's dyno. the catch is that the 450r is lighter.

alot of people have had good luck with the dr.d slipon if you go with a fuull system they all are pretty good. im running a full yoshi. sparks would be another good choice as well as hmf. will it beat a raptor? my 02 rappy with k&n pro design, full yosi.stage one hot cam, and jet kit. never beat a 450 yamaha or honda. other tips. when you jet it by a kit. dyno, sparks or hondas hrc. hte new neddle makes a huge differance. i also went with hondas hrc kit it comes with air box lid modded, jet kit. cam. exhaust tip. the kit makes a big diff for $230.00. good luck.

as far as the HRCkit is concerned, spend ur $230 on a better aftermarket cam, the rest of the mods cost next to nothing, u pull out the baffling on the exhaust (requires taking off/on 3 bolts) remove ur airbox lid, and jets cost less than $5.

for best pipe, it all depends what u want. the LRD system gives really good acceleration, along with good power across the board, the sparks pipes give power across the board, but are a good top end pipe. diferent pipes for different reasons. a lil bit of research and calling a few companies can really help in deciding what pipe u want.
