grinding

my 400ex is making a grinding noise in the top of each gear. my dad thought it was the drive chain, but i tightened that up and it still makes the noise. any suggestions on what it could be?

i got a rock stuck between my skid plate and chain and it made a grinding noise.

but it only does it at the top of each gear

The higher the rev the higher the vibration your bike will experience. maybe it is just something loose. It must be either internal engine problems or a loose part.
