Hello all-
This is my first post here, i am back in the atv world after a lapse of lets see, 15 years! (lost interest, was in college, but i am 30 and have time and the area to ride again) My previous atvs were 86' Trx 125, 86 250r, 87 200sx, and an 89 quadsport. Anyway, wednesday after much research i will be picking up a new rincon for a very decent price (almost as good as a price i saw from a dealer i just saw online in chattanoga, that has to be the cheapest place to buy hondas i would think) Anyway, i plan to break this in right/warranty is up and maybe do a few mods such as....
-jetkit/airfilter
-exhaust
-slightly bigger mudlites
I am interested in hearing from other rincon owners which of the above mods they have done and whether they felt they were worth or not worth doing. I heard that going larger tire wise is bad on the cv joints and will cause like a 36% lose in power based on going to 27's. I do not need power lose based on this quads low end as is. But as far as exhaust, i want gains, not noise (a bit louder than stock would be ok) and i am the most skeptical in dealing with jetting/carb issues, i dont want to blow this up, but i want to grab any available power i can from this mod. I have read numerous responses dealing with these but figured id start a new thread.
