sure... it will plow like a truck, ill be plowing this winter also on a 50 in blade. snows not too deep here. id go with their 54 inch blade or the 60 if its not too deep, if you really wanna throw snow, my friend has a 60in cyclecountry state blade on his big bear 4x4.

I use my '00 Rancher every year for snow removal and have never had any trouble. The first year I had stock tires and never even spun them. I later bought 589's just because I wanted more, more, more . . . I've got a Warn 54" blade, Warn winch, and various other accessories. Our snow falls aren't that heavy but I've plowed 10-12 inches a few times and occassionally will have to hold a crab angle on the front end to counter the opposite pushing effect away from the blade angle. Works beautifully though. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the 60" blade. The 4x4 should handle it just fine. I've heard 4x2 drivers say they have more difficulty holding their steering line, which makes sense. I now have a contract with a couple of businesses to do their snow removal. One is a college campus and in 3-4 hours of blading their sidewalks, I'll log about 40 miles on the odometer. I easily run in 2nd gear most of the time and have filled up the blade on numerous occassions and just kept pushing!
