Ebay Gaskets/bolt kits...
#11
Yea, I still have a new OEM head gasket, I do remember others saying that everything except the head gasket were quality. I think I'll hold off on the bolts though, I just wanna ride! Thanks alot guys and/or gals

The gasket sets are cheap, complete and they're just as good as OEM. The bolt kits are also a good deal for the money, you get almost every bolt you need, plus they're stainless steel and the allen head is much easier to work with.

I just bought a bolt kit from a friend who never installed them on his CR250 and I like the bolts but one thing to keep in mind. Some of the kits out there are not stainless even when they say they are. These ones claimed to be stainless but were not, just a cheap overseas chrome job on your standard hardware store bolts it what I have which work just fine. For $10 still in all the little bags, you can't beat that. As far as the gaskets go, I just got that K&S top end kit off ebay for my R, they seem to be quality gaskets that are cut for OEM spec only. I had to cut the inner intake gastet to fit my Rad valve, no big deal. And I am not sure but the head cap gasket that came in this kit is about 3X thicker then OEMs and is totally metal. Its a crush gasket also which means one time use ONLY. I chose not to use it unless I have to because it will lower my compression a little.

I bought a set of k&s gasgets and seals (on ebay)and was not very impressed. If I remember right I had problems with the base gasget and the clutch cover gasget, both started leaking. So did the countershaft seal.
