how do you like YOUR 400EX?

I am really getting sick of riding this lame 'ol blaster of mine, and im currently thinking about getting a 400ex. I'm already getting a newer 125, so i just want a 400ex, because i heard theyre practically bullet proof. I also want one as a back up if my bike is ever broke down. I was thinking i could sell my near-stock blaster for around 1700-1800, then get a 400ex, how much more (about ) would i need to get one(used of course) How do you like: the suspension in whoops and jumps. The handling. the power, and how reliable are they, i know honda makes bullet proof four strokes, and i was wondering if this one was one of them? what do you guys think?

i love mine. it's really great all around, but really shines in the trails. i've ridden mine for 8hours one day on a mx track, and it does OK for a stock suspension quad on the whoops and jumps, but i didnt have a good time because i hate mx lol, got to get out there and ride whenever you can though....
power stock isnt too hot, but a pipe filter no airbox lid and appropriate jets really opened it up. and yes, this is a good example of a well built reliable honda 4 stroke

well, i guarantee its better then the suspension on my blaster
i jumped it like 6-7 feet high, hit the landing and bottomed out. I just want something as a reliable, fun backup.

I know 5 people with a 400ex and they all love it. Very reliable and it will be a good backup machine. I dunno about out by you but blasters arent worth crap around here. youd be lucky to get a grand for it in nj. And up here most 400ex's go for 2 to 3 grand at least. The suspension on a 400ex is good for what it is. Definatly better than a blaster. I think youll like it.

I don't have one, but I have lots of them around me, they are good quads, they are nothig compared to the blaster, the suspension is A+ compared to the blaster, and it doesn't give you a harsh landing. Well, you will be happy with it.
