Going to look at 99 recon for my daughter any
known issues or problems I should look for?

well the main thing i owuld do is ask about his servicing habits & if at all possible check the bearings & engine and gearcase oil.

 

i find them a bit cold blooded (run a little rough cold, but purr once warmed up). a 5-6 y/o unit like that should have had a valve adjustment or two. no hour meter or speedo, so actual use is hard to pin down. check to see if they're orig tires or replacements. if orig tires, maybe use is under 2000 miles. replacements... who knows?? shake front wheels to make sure there's no excessive play. they are a pretty reliable, bullet proof quad.
