I don't know what the K&N power kit includes, but if you are upgrading the stock filter and rejetting, than yes, you will see a small increase in power as well as throttle response(if machine is properly jetted).

A "power up" kit will make a night to day difference if installed properly. By that I mean if the bike/quad is de-restricted, piped and jetted properly.

no no no the power kit will do a tiny bit not much that u will notice if that is all u r doing it norm. will give u about 5% increase and a stock 300ex is like 16 hp so the jet kit and filter should give u almost 1hp gain. Now then the real power gain is when u go with a full pipe like 20%- 25% so about 4-5 hp with that. It will feel like you bought a new quad. Good luck

Should you go through the expense of a k&n air filter, re-jetting and a full exhaust system, you should consider have the rev limiter worked on...Sparks racing did mine since I was able to hit the rev. limiter with the modifications...The motor is pretty stout and you will see a huge difference with the modifications along with the rev limter..........

300exridingboy,
I have used a K&N filter and rejetted the carb on five different ATVs, and I noticed an improvement on every single one of them. The ATV that it made the most difference with was a 400EX, so I would say it would be a worthwhile mod for you 300EX. Plus the jet kit that comes with the power-up kit will come in handy if you do any other mods in the future, such as an aftermarket exhaust, because you will already have the different size jets you will need.

Sorry to jump in on your thread but I wanna buy a pipe and a jet kit for my 05 300ex. Everything I can find only goes up to 04 so will 04 kits and pipes fit my 05. I don't think anything was changed but I wanted to ask to make sure.

Thanks
