I've done lots of river crossing with mine. Where I ride along one trail we sometimes cross the river 4-5 times in just a hundred yard strech . So my Rancher gets wet quite offten and I have never had any problems.

the rancher is as water resistant as any quad can be. the ED works flawlessly on MOST ranchers. the problems that the foreman has had have not surfaced on the rancher. you should not have a worry in the world about the ES on the rancher.

I have crossed creeks & river up to the top of the exhaust pipe with out any failures, electrical or mechanical. Remember these are quads & not submarines!

I've had my Rancher in up to it's exhaust in both river and lake .. no problems.

At a ride last weekend, some guy had a Rancher 4x4 rigged with a snorkel, and was underwater crossing a lake. His engine died about half way through, but he got it started again and finally made it across.

There were two Foreman with him that were rigged the same way. They made it with less trouble. Could have been the skill level.

I think they were takin' a bath cause they'd been in mud up to the handlebars all day : )
