05 Recon and Recon ES ?

"ES" means electronic shift. your bud's foreman has that option. it's a thumb shifter on the left handlebar. I like mine, and most people seem to. there's an occasional problem where the connections need cleaning. the complaints I've seen seem to be more about.. "what if's"...than real problems. and the real problems are easily fixed.
the other one would be a foot shifter, semi-automatic (i didn't think they were still making that one??). that one would shift the same way as the 125 you ride. both recons are 250CC, 2wd, great machines for what they are. you never mentioned what type of riding or terrain you like. that might affect your decision too.

My neighbor owns the foreman and his 14 yaer old son will ride around the yard in 5th gear going 15 mph! Isnt that bad the transmision?
