ignition question

Default ignition question

will a quad start if the ignition is disconnected?
Im asking this because a key got lost and I wos wondering ....if I were too disconnect the ignition if it should still fire with the pull start...

It would probably be a lot easier just to replace the switch with new keys. Ronnies is the sponsor of this website if you look at the top of this page and all pages on this website. You can look up your machine and get the prices right here. I have ordered from them and they appear to be genuine Honda parts. It shouldnt be that expensive.

thanks for info..I will definatly check it out..

But my question is..should it fire with the ignition disconnected?? Im wondering if I can work out the carb troubles it has before replacing the switch...I need too know if im wasteing my time trying too start it with the starter disconnected..

All quads aren't the same in this regard. If you want accurate information, include the make, model and year.

Default ignition question

disconnect the black\white wire from your ignition switch to disable it. Your machine will start if it's a runner and you'll still have the handle emergency kill switch to shut it off.
