Ride it like you stole it! After a couple of hours, change the oil and oil filter. Also, change the differential oil, front and rear. Then do it all again at 10 hrs. Stick with a petrolium based oil during break-in. I live in an area of very steep hills. I warm the bike up thoroughly and ride about four blocks at moderate speed up to the hills. Then I bomb up and down three huge hills, pushing it hard on the uphills and holding it back on compression on the downhills. Then I park it, let it cool off completely, and the next day I do it all over again. I do this three times. Then, I ride it for the next 10 hrs., being carefull not to keep a constant speed, and cooling it off after every hours ride.

This is how i broke my Rancher 350 in. Worked great, I will do it again.
