I'm building up a 440 and i was wondering wheather I should have the rockers hardfaced for use with the Hot Cams stage 2 cam.

Any info/past experinces would help.

Thanks Andrew.

Hotcam brand cams are drop in for the 450r. I know with a Webcam they recommend hardened rockers with their cams. Not sure what Hotcam recommends for theirs on a 400ex. Have you checked their web site? I'm sure that info would be there.

I just checked their web site. Hotcams for the 400ex are drop in cams, no hardened rockers required.

I have a Hotcam Stage II in my 450R and it rips!

I talked to duncan racing and they said it's absolutely a must do. I used my stock rockers and springs on my 440 for about 3 years now and haven't had any problems, and I ride pretty hard at the dunes.

the hotcams are drop in cams and hardened rockers could actually ruin this and all other drop in cams.
