A guy has a 95 300 trx for sale. He's asking 2900.00 for it. I haven't seen it yet. My brother has & says it looks to be in god shape. The guy just bought a new one. Is 2900 a decent price for one in good shape. It has the original tires on it. I'm gonna look at it tomorrow(100 miles away) if it sounds good.

Thanx folks

David

The retail for a Honda 300 2x4 is 3120 a 4x4 is 3450. Of course this is if they are in mint condition, I would say he is not too far off base. Hope this helps.

Sounds high to me. My friend bought a 1997 TRX300 in 1998 at an auction here and paid $2900. A 1994 just traded on ebay for around $1850.

BSHIELS,
Do you know what condition the ATV's were from the auctions?? I'm not a big fan of them...but who knows you may could get a good deal there.

That sounds pretty close to me. I have mine for sale right now for $2700 with winch and I consider it to be in very good condition.

Hudson- There is a big auction here in Dallas every few months. Wheels in Motion. I have been several times. They sell consignments and repos from the big finance companies. You can get a good deal if you are careful and know what you are looking for. Seems more of the public come now than just dealers so I feel that the prices are bid up closer to retail than in the past.

The 300 that my friend bought was mechanically fine but the plastic and racks had some scratches etc. In the past, a large amount of the quads were Honda. You can start them but can't ride them. It is a huge warehouse. I would guess they have at any given auction 25-30 300ex, 25-30 Trx 300 etc. Also have dirt bikes, street bikes, jet skis etc... if you need more info just drop me a line and I'll get what you need.

Many dealers from around the country buy and sell inventory. I usually keep track of the prices on different sales. Obviously the utility machines bring higher prices just before hunting season. Not the best time to buy one, just wait until season is over...

BSHIELS -
Thanx for the info. sounds like that auction is set up much better than I envisioned. When I get home I'll send you email with some more questions. I would like to wait till after the season but my lease is pretty rough on my truck.
I may cruise up to Dallas for the next Auction. I'm just outside of Austin.

Thanx,

David

I bought my 94 Honda 300 4x4 for $2500 almost exactly a year ago. I got it in about mid october. The quad was in mint condition, with the original factory tires on it, no scratches, and stick stoppers on it.
I seen a 95 in mint condition, factory tires, 2 - wheel drive for sale for $3125 at this rental place that decided to sale used ATV's.
A friend of mine bought his 96 300 4x4 for $3400 around the same time I bought mine, it had a few scratches on it, the back brakes would stick, but it was already equipped for hunting. I think I got the better deal, mine had less hours/miles on it, even though it was older than his.
Hope those prices might help a little.
