Interesting, I refered to myself "The One" simply meaning that before me there were many that have come and gone, kind of like drive by rumor starters. Most of those were actually persons who work in the industry and are probing the patrons to see what they know and or would like to see.
The others simply came out and said things that weren't true and when called on it they were never seen again.
I am wondering though, why is it that you refer to me as a sci-fi geek, when the only sci-fi refrence made in here was presented by you??[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
If I cause you any discomfort I apologise as I can tell that you are troubled by me in the name calling you depict in your post.
Who am I harming posting what you probablly consider meaningless babble since you have a difficult time in understanding someone who speaks an eloquent language not filled with rife and name calling and uses polysyllabic words and maybe, just maybe more truth and wisdom to which I speak than you are willing to accept.
I hope to see you here over the coming years so you can see wether I am a success or failure.

Why would a "mole" be worried about "loose lips"? Individuals can clain all they want about new production bikes, but who is going to believe them until they see it. I could see a "mole" watching the forums and gaining information about what the consumers are looking for, but posting a thread about a "future" quad will only most likley get you bashed. If they asked the question of "what if honda came out with such and such, I could see that as being a good research tool. If I was in market research I would come here and post a thread in each top manufacturers topic, saying "What would you like to see us produce next"? Not float rumors and see what happens, that tends to **** people off. Also, why hide under a false idenity? Let it be known that so and so is in research and is using the info to benefit the atv development. This way the info gathered can be thought of as genuine.

 

What you fail to realize my friend is that too many times people inside a given manufacturer's family leak out information that is not yet meant for public consumption and therefore has gotten many people into trouble with said manufacturer. They frown upon those who divulge information they want kept secret. What I present is information that is mild enough for the public to read and secret enough to perk a few ears up. It's not posing or posturing, just a different approach to the subject matter.

If everyone's opinion was to just stand pat and not let them know what we want, then we get the level of mediocrity and stagnation that would absolutely follow.
