Default honda 400 rancher at tires ?

Every once in a while I see where someone talks about their Mudlite tires wear away too quickly. I have right at 1000 miles on mine on the 450Foreman and they show hardly any wear. The ones on the sportrax have around 600 miles on them and they show minimum wear. We ride mud, hard packed power lines with large and small rock, then skip over to asphalt for about 3/4 mile to another trail every single week that comes. We hill climb, power slide, just give them heck and they are holding up great for us. I dont understand why some people have trouble with them wearing quickly. One thing I do try to stay away from is gravel roads just because they arent much fun anyway. If these tires, mudliites, keep going the way they are, they are probably going to get 3 or 4 thousand miles on them. That seems awful good to me. I have had a set of Dirt Devils before on a 350 rancher and loved them too. I sold the Rancher long before I could have worn the tires out. They may be a harder rubber compound than the mudlites, I dont know. The mudlites hook up great on everything including slick wet roots and leaves, off cambered hills, etc, so I guess if they wear a little faster than some, it is worth it.

I have the Holeshot ATR tires on some light ITP 12X7" rims. The offset of the rims will widen the bike quite a bit, for a lot of added stability. I don't get into a lot of mud, so I can't bouch for their handling there, but everywhere else they are superb.
