I'm trying to figure out the best route for the pipe comming from the airbox. It's pretty tight and I've got a couple of ideas, just looking for others. Any pics would sure help.

i've been thinkiing about it for awhile too. i've jumped all my breather tubes up under the handle bars but the air in take will be a challenge. this is what i'm going to try: spliting the air intake into two small tubes and run them along both sides of the gas tank up to the top by the handle bars. i wish they left the air intake the same as my 95 300. i can take that machine in water up to my chest when i put over sized tires on the front so i can float the fron end. my rancher doesn't run too good in deep water and stalls alot. my 95 300 runs like a champ in deep water. later - dana

hmmm, mine did pretty good I thought. It's 2x4 but I have a set of outlaws on the back and I pushes though the deep water pretty well. I was running with an SP500 and a Rubicon. They easily outran me but I stayed up with them. I made a snorkel but it's so close to the head and exhaust pipe. I affraid I'll have to cut the side pannel to make room for it. I'm not sure about the multiple tube idea. I've thought about it myself. You'd have to make some kind of manifold for them to all join into.

i made a snorkel for my rancher yesterday and had to squeeze the tube along the gas tank and side panel. it took me and my brother to insert the plastics back because its a tight fit. i still have to mount the pipe for it and thinking of some ideas. the engine isnt choked from air because it runs like normal. i'll try to get some pics as soon as i can use the digital camera. hope i helped and good luck!
