Default 2003 450ES Shifting problem

Check it out! You are the "best"! I checked both wires for continuity ...no good on either one, but then I realized i was checking on the wrong side of connector. I was trying to get the Plastic connector from the frame and noticed that the wires pulled out of the connector very easily. I hooked them up witout the plastic and.....SHAZZZZAMMMMM......It shifts on the buttons!!!!! Evidently the connection was bad due to the wires backing out of the round plastic housing. I am so relieved because I was starting to think it was that Expensive computer! Couldnt have done it without you!!! If I can help you anytime , let me know! I used to work on Lexus and Honda cars. Thanks again! And Again...And Again.....I'm gonna Ride Tomorrow....

Good going, you did all the work.
These are the best endings...the ones that end up being a wire, and can be repaired for free.
Get out there and ride it.

Does the bike shift into 1st and 5th and reverse but not any other? if so your angle sensor is in need of replacement.there are tests that you can do to check it .if you have a meter.if you have a manual it should tell you how to use the speedo to help you. if you don't have a manual call your local honda dealer and ask at the service dept .they will will probably help by giving some verbal info on the phone.good luck. Bob
