Flipped!!Little water in airbox, and oil. 400ex
My 400ex was upside down in a little pond for like 10 sec not to deep but... i know i should change my oil. But what should i do with my air filter? I'm letting it air out. What can i clean it with? Did i damage my motor at all? Another thing I noticed my back left tire wobbles. I look at it and when i wiggle the tire it is loose by the red hub part conected to the axle. What they hell can I do here also. Thank you

ok change your oil dry your airfilter turn off your gas and stand your quad up so the fuel drains out incase theres any water in the carb. take off the wheel and on the hub should be a looks like a bolt with a cotter pin in it take the pin out and tighten it put the pin back in mount the tire and ride it

I was with a buddy and we tried to drive across the missisippi river by towing his 400ex ( I was riding) with his forman 450es ( he was riding)
the ex was over the seat in water and i just kept the clutch in and the throttle up . the 450 drifted off the sandbar and went under the water, locked up and stalled. the ex stayed running until the airbox filled with water and then locked up too. we used another good quad another friend was riding and towed both out of the water and emptied air boxes and pulled spark plugs. had them both running again in a half hour and both still run fine to this day. good times.
so there shouldnt be anything wrong with yours, since our ex was submerged for almost an hour until we got it pulled out.
