Utility exhaust
#3
Stock Hondas are pretty quiet, I would have to say around 86-88 dB, the quietest aftermarkets usually run about 92 - 96 decibels, I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but remember, every dB increase is roughly doubling the sound level, so 4 - 6 dB is quite a bit louder. A lot of the "utility" or "quiet" silencers out there are still running close to 94 dB, so decide on the type of riding you will be doing, and if you are willing to put up with the extra noise, if you do a lot of working, it might get annoying listening to a louder exhaust all day, and if you hunt, it will spook more game. If you only trail and mud ride, then I guess the extra performance sound won't be so bad. You could look into the Supertrapp IDS 2, it is tuneable for more/ less noise and power, and the discs are internal, so mud won't get into them.

I bought the HMF utility series and I love it. The sound may be a little loud, but not deafining. The low end power and tourqe I recieved from the combo of mods I added put a huge smile on my face. HMF also makes a utility quiet series that is supposed to be not as loud as the one I bought. I did get the spark arrestor/quite core with mine, but opted to leave it out because I liked the sound better. With it in it was barley noticable over stock. All depends on how you want it to sound. Like 95wolv said if you use it for work more than play, you may want the quite series.
