I have a 1997 recon. When i put it in gear i can feel the gears bounce in the trans. I raised the rear and put it in gear and there is alot of play in the trans. I feels like a worn ring and pinion but i checked the rear end and u-joints. Any ideas anyone? How hard is this trans. to work on?

 

how do u mean "the gears bounce" ??

does it clunk when you put it in gear?? Maybe you just need to adjust your clutch.
