My stock tires are shot and I need tires for a couple CC races and just general riding. Are 22" tires much better for CC racing (clearance) or should I stick with 20"?? Probably gonna be Holeshot/Razor/Shredder - Any preferences??

I will only use 20" tire on a motocross track or sand. My 22" RAZRS will go over anything. When I was using 20" tires in the woods I would bottom out and get stuck all the time. I dropped to a 14t front sprocket and it runs the same as when I was using the 20" tires.

I highly recomened 22" RAZRS for all out woods racing!!!

That's good advice. Go with the 22" and drop a tooth on the front sprocket.
RAZRs and Holeshots are good, has anyone tried the Pure Sports Bandits?? The tread looks cool.
???

I've got 22 inch Maxxis All-Trak's on mine, and I left the stock sprocket on it. I noticed the machine lug a little until I put the Big Gun exhaust on it, but now it just goes.

We do primarily desert XC riding, and run Holeshot XCT's front and rear (22" rear/23" front), on both a Warrior and 400EX. The extra ground clearance in nice, especially on the 400EX which has a kind of low rear end to start with. You will notice the extra height when cornering, and will have to lean more to counteract it. The one place Holeshots are worthless is in deep sand, like the dunes. They just dig nice big square holes. In shallow or moderate sand, like you might find in a desert wash though, they are OK. These tires are virtually indestructable!

I am running 23 Razor frornts and 20" holeshot XC rears and I will change to 22" rears soon. I also have a 14T front sprocket and have dropped the rear spring for more sag, which you may want to do if you go with 22" rears. Good luck

Santa;
Just an idea if he didn't want too much side bite and bicycling on the 22" he could drop the rear spring adjustment. I run mine down and have the compression backed out alittle for the rear to lower during corner.

Doesn't have to, just a thought.

still the adjustment of the suspension will not help out in MX.... dude think about it...

santa's right, you probably don't want to have 23-22 on your quad for MX.... The compression adjustment isn't going to make as much difference as the tires... Plus your still gonna have some Power loss
