TracLoc for a 350 Rancher
#1
I have been reading this forum for sometime. I have the chance to get a front differential from a 400 AT. Will it work on a 350 4X4 ? Do you think it would be worth the effort?

I can get this AT 400 front differential for under $300. So saving money on a Warn 424 is not that much. I'm not sure which end of the driveshaft the TraxLoc is on. That is why I posted this thread. It looks like a simple job to which differentials and to wire in a control switch. But will it work? Are the driveshafts the same? I have compared the 350 & 400 front differential, they look the same size and the mounting is the same. Advise please, this price won't hold long.

I inquired once about putting TraxLok on my 350. The service guys said (over the phone) the mechanism was on the engine side, and it wasn't a seperate unit like the Warn 424. Nor did they say that is was on the differential side.
Know what though? I never did get under a machine with TraxLok and take a look for myself! You know how those service guys are, they make a lot of mistakes.
Mybe we will get an answer here- http://forums.atvconnection.com/mess...did/453013.cfm
