Since i'm getting a 2001 400ex next saturday, I'm thinking about turning my recon into a full-on mud machine. Does anybody know if the recon has enough clearance for 25 inch tires?

 

width?

exhaust pipe?

9inch or 12inch rims?

 

I put the tires off my brothers 300 4X4 on my Recon just to see how it would do a while back. I don't think clearance was any problem. You might have a problem turning the bigger tire in the mud though. I would be sure to find the lightest tire possible in that size.

 

Probably something along the lines of 25x12-9 blackwaters,25x12-d mud-sharks, or maybe even some carlise stryker 25x12x9's. I have 22x11-9 Sur-traks now, and their is plenty of room on the side of the exhaust, so another half-inch closer to the pipe wouldn't hurt.
