RUST dripping from Rubicon's Back rack

Agreed, if you have rust inside the racks, then you also have moisture in there. Since you have sealed the holes, you have just created an incubator of sorts to speed up the rust process and your racks will eventually rust from the inside out. I dont know what you guys have in the states, but you can get a product here called rust check, or krown rust control, its a reddish colour oil (in a spray can) that is designed for this purpose. You spray it into the racks, and it will displace all the water there now, and more that will get in later, but more importantly it will creep over time to every nook and cranny in the rack.
I have drowned every accessable part of the frame, bumpers and racks on my bike and it works well. I usually spray a little more in each year to replace what may get washed away during deep water crossings.

Our 2002 TRX350FE FourTrax Rancher 4X4 ES has some rust drip from the racks. I am not sure I would want to seal the racks up. If moisture still gets in, how will it dry?
Our 2001 TRX500FA FourTrax Foreman Rubicon does not have that problem.

If that great stuff is like household expanding foam insulation, it will also cause problems as it holds water over time. I've seen a camper van insulated with it, since the water was held tight to the body work, it rusted fast!!! (matter of years mind you)

I said he could try it. I didn't say I would. lol
I would just paint it. With rust stopping paint.

Action 450,
I live in Quebce and I am curious about the Rust Control Redish oil that you can get in your area; Do you get this oil at Canadian Tire.... Would you know about the Brand name;
I think that the idea of keeping a breathing access is an excellent path and the WD40, Rust contro oil and fugging with rust paint is all great ideas;
Thanks again guys;
